It's a bespoke reference guide that we can make available to our candidates delivering core information about working in the UK, such as:

It is important that you quickly get a bank account opened so you can start having your money paid directly into your account. If you require help with this then we can arrange for one of the UK's leading banks to visit your place of work and assist you in opening an account.

As part of the recruitment process you will complete an English assessment. This will help us find you a suitable role with one of our clients, and it will also provide you with feedback on how good your English is. We will then give you links to further areas of learning to help you improve.

The Worker Registration Scheme (WRS) applies to the citizens of Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. It is necessary to register within the first month of work in the UK. The cost of the registration is £70, which is deducted from your wage after your first few weeks of work, which means you do not have to worry about paying for the WRS in advance. Our team at Horizon European will ask you to provide your identity card or passport and two photographs and will then make sure your application has been sent to the Home Office once you have started work. When your application has been approved you will be issued with a worker registration card and a certificate authorising you to work in the UK.

A National Insurance Number is a personal number used to record your National Insurance contributions. Through National Insurance payments, which are deducted from your income, you contribute to the National Health Service scheme. You should apply for a NIN when you have started work. Our team at Horizon European will assist you with booking an appointment at the local Job Centre Plus where you will be interviewed by the Job Centre Plus Representative who will check your identity card and the right to work. You will be asked to provide the following documents:

Most of the health services are provided free of charge for those who make contributions through the National Insurance payments. In order to receive medical assistance you need to be registered with your local GP (Doctor). We will assist you with finding your local surgery.
